The Quotidian, October 24, 2010 ~ Pessimism is a Luxury

“Pessimism is a luxury we can afford only in good times; in difficult times it easily represents a self-inflicted, self-fulfilling death sentence.” ~ Evelin Lindner and Jo. L., Auschwitz Survivor, 2004

Lindner is the Founding President of Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies. I couldn’t locate any information on Jo L.

Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies is composed of independent researchers and educators working on “Breaking the cycle of humiliation.” Link:

There is a great page of quotes on this website, too.

  1. Andy,

I think you may have meant to write Jo L. in your post. Instead you wrote J. Lo — Freudian slip, maybe? ((giggles))

Write on (and stop thinking about Jennifer Lopez… 🙂
