2008 [ Estrangement | Ruin ]

[8]

My return visit
to New Mexico:
estrangement,
inescapable.

[48]

I’m miles
from Mom’s home.
Why did you come?
I told you not to.

An ending:
I won’t see you.

I cycle through
disbelief & anger.

My girlfriend joins me,
says That’s family.

On our road trip
to see mission ruins
we argue.
She sees
more than me.
