Mini Blinds

I’m not an exhibitionist–
I keep the mini blinds up
so my cats won’t trash them.
Rent, mini blinds and cats
are expensive–especially
when they get all tangled
up as they often will.
Until my cats or I die
I’ll keep the mini blinds up–
but I’m not an exhibitionist.

This is my August 17th poem for the postcard poetry project. I used an antique card view titled “Washington’s Pacific Seacoast” (it’s a view of sea stacks–an amazing geologic feature) and mailed it to Alyse of State College, Pennsylvania.

Blessings to Alyse and all. Andy
