The Quotidian, December 29, 2010 ~ What we continue to do does matter

“All I can say is that the value of the things we do lies in doing them as well as we can, and that what we continue to do does matter.” ~ Dismas Hardy (character in John Lescroart’s novels) (John Lescroart, born January 14, 1948)

John Lescroart (pronounced “less-kwah” ~ from author’s website) is a New York Times bestselling author of thrillers.

In 2010 I became a huge fan of John Lescroart. After my Mom died in August 2009, her housemate sent me several Lescroart novels in Mom’s book collection. I started reading them in 2010, and am hooked! Lescroart’s main characters Dismas Hardy and Abe Glitsky are unforgettable, as are many of the secondary characters. Lescroart is a master at plotting.

I recommend Lescroart’s novels very highly. My favorites are The First Law (2003) and Betrayal (2008). However, read the novels in order!
