The Quotidian, December 15, 2010 ~ Organize

“Organize, and don’t count the costs” ~ Howard Zinn (August 24, 1922 to January 27, 2010)

Howard Zinn was an American historian, educator, author, and activist. Notably, Zinn was the author of A People’s History of the United States (1980, with several revised editions). Zinn, a prominent activist, was active in the Civil Rights Movement and opposed the United States-led Iraq War (2003+).

[Source of quotation: from the First Howard Zinn Memorial Lecture, delivered by Bill Moyers on October 29, 2010 at Boston University. Dates and biographical information from Wikipedia, accessed September 30, 2010. Some biographical information known to me].
