The Quotidian, September 10, 2010 ~ Change

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” ~ Maya Angelou (born April 4, 1928)

Maya Angelou is an American author, poet, and activist. Angelou is perhaps best known for her autobiography, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (1969).

2nd intallment of my “Did you know?” feature: Did you know that Angelou is considered an “autobiographer”? She has written a series of autobiographies after her coverage of her first 17 years in I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.

  1. Cool ! A ‘did you know’ feature sounds awesome. The quote is neat, too!

    Write on!

  2. Carolyn, thank you so much for visiting my blog and commenting!

I knew I had to include that quotation as soon as I found it. I was familiar with I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings but not Maya Angelou’s subsequent autobiographies.

Blessings to you and yours, Andy
