The Sward

I intended
to write but napped; the pen
isn’t always mightier than
the sward

Note: an American Cinquain is a five line poem with a 2-4-6-8-2 syllabic structure.

    Carolyn, LOL! This makes me chuckle, too.

    English allows so many wordplay (swardplay?) opportunities.

    Another friend of mine thought the reference was to another kind of grass. So, it may be that I should use the word “turf” instead!
