The Quotidian, August 26, 2010 ~ Authenticity

“On this hero’s journey we are all on, authenticity is the most powerful tool we have.” ~ Joseph Campbell (March 26, 1904 to October 30, 1987)

Joseph Campbell was an American mythologist and author. According to Wikipedia, he was “best known for his work on comparative mythology and comparative religion.” Campbell was the author of numerous books including The Hero with a Thousand Faces (1949). A series of interviews he did with Bill Moyers led to PBS broadcast of “The Power of Myth”, which was released in 1988, after Campbell’s death.
