The Quotidian, August 20, 2010 ~ Vision

“Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision is just passing the time. Vision with action is the hope of the world.” ~ Joel A. Barker

Joel A. Barker is a prominent American futurist, author, and businessman. Barker is well known as the person who popularized “paradigm shift” for business. He is the author of several books including Paradigms: The Business of Discovering the Future (1993).

Joel A. Barker’s blog is “Good News: Positive Things that are Happening in the World.”

[Source: Barker quotation is from my friend Kashia Gale. Use of BrainyQuote.com (quote ends with “… can change the world”) and ThinkExist.com (quote ends with “… is making a positive difference”) turned up two other variations. I like Kashia’s version best. Hope is a special word for me.]

Speaking of hope, please be sure to visit Kashia’s blog “Whispers of Hope.” Her blog features great photography, texts and poems – all of hope inspiring people. Read her posts, view the photos, comment, and send in your submissions concerning hope!
