Japanese-Style Short Form Poetry (examples)

Haiku example:

in the tide– / a stump, waterworn / and rootless

Senryu example:

in their spring– / two teens texting / together and apart

Tanka example:

a couple / faces away / from each other, / talking into cell phones / and smiling
