Some Notes on Pronoia and Rob Brezsny

My friend Libby introduced me to Pronoia is the Antidote for Paranoia: How the Whole World is Conspiring to Shower You with Blessings, by Rob Brezsny (2005).

I was familiar with Brezsny’s column “Free Will Astrology” and had read it occasionally. Now I read it weekly. Often I read the sections for other signs because Brezsny is so informative!

Brezsny is a genius! His breadth of knowledge and wisdom is staggering.

Libby loaned me her copy of Pronoia is the Antidote for Paranoia. I was bemused to read parts of it and see that her copy was heavily marked up – with highlighted areas, underlinings, and notes in the margins. Pronoia is the Antidote for Paranoia is a miraculous book, one made to be used heavily and passionately, and it is clear to me now that Libby inhabited her copy of that book!

I eventually returned her copy to Libby and bought one for myself. My copy is not marked up, and I am bemused by the fact that I haven’t used my copy heavily and passionately; I haven’t inhabited Brezsny’s book. It is my intention to do so!

Pronoia is the Antidote for Paranoia is a feast: a sprawling, joyful, exuberant, loving, fearless and wise book about … transformation! Are you surprised that I would be recommending another book on transformation?!

Note: I’ll add it as a second text for Transformation 101, after Creating Your Future: Five Steps to the Life of Your Dreams, by Dave Ellis (1998).

I recommend Pronoia is the Antidote for Paranoia highly! Note: be prepared for a wild ride!
